Why It Matters

Since the release of OpenAI's first ChatGPT model in 2022, corporate investment in AI increased dramatically. Ninety-three percent of Fortune 500 CHROs say their organization is using AI technology and tools to improve business practices.

At the same time, employee use of AI at work remains limited. The majority of U.S. employees say they never use AI at work. And the workforce frequency of AI use remained unchanged from 2023 to 2024.

Bottom line: Employee adoption of AI is critical for seeing a return on investment — and that will require leadership.
